hunter's canal

The adductor canal is a muscular tunnel in the thigh. It commences at the inferior end of the femoral triangl  and terminates at the adductor hiatus. 
Boundaries
  • anteriorly: sartorius muscle
  • posteromedially: adductor longus and adductor magnus muscles
  • laterally: vastus medialis muscle
Contents
  • femoral artery and vein
  • saphenous nerve
  • nerve to vastus medialis

  • diagram shows that canal is overlapped by sartorius muscle.
